For Sale: 1948 Ford Super Deluxe in Merritt , North Carolina for sale in Merritt, NC
Vehicle Description 1948 Ford Super Deluxe 4 Dr.
Sedan.
A classic survivor in very fine condition.
239 cu.
inch flathead V-8 with a 3 speed, column shift manual transmission with new clutch and pressure plate.
New battery, generator, and starter motor has made it a very reliable everyday driver that turns heads and get waves everywhere it goes.
Externally, glass and mirrors very good.
The paint is quite nice and shiny with a very few stone chips.
Chrome is excellent, and the wide white walls with chrome trim rings (and spare) are close to new.
Internally, the grey upholstery and door panels are excellent.
Grey carpeted rear floor with carpeted foot rests, and a robe rail with a lap robe (obviously not an original robe).
Rubber floor mat up front.
The headliner has no rips or tears, but has some minor staining from what appears to have been from a windshield gasket leak sometime in the past 74 years.
The dashboard is really nice with all gauges working.
The AM radio turns on but just gets static and could use some work.
The dashboard clock looks good, but doesn't work, no idea if it's a fuse or wiring problem or the clock itself.
The above is my honest description of the vehicle.
I've thoroughly enjoyed driving this car for the past year or so, but like many car loonies (you know who you are), another car that I didn't know I needed has caught my eye necessitating the sale of this one.
I'll be glad to answer any questions, and if the ad is still up, it's still available.
Thanks for looking.
